The HD-VDIG-ISO is an IO Module that has up to 48 lines of digital IO. It is available in both an optically isolated version and a high speed non-isolated version. The IO lines of the non-isolated version are direction-programmable in 8-line increments. The isolated versions employ optical isolators with 2500 Vrms isolation voltage rating, however, the isolation voltage rating of the module will be dependent on the carrier board isolation capability. The user provides external power for the IO in one of four voltage ranges between 2.5 and 70 volts. For outputs of low voltage (<15V), 10k ohm pull-up resistors are provided, for high voltage (>15V) 50k ohm resistors are used. Where inputs are used, one or two input lines may be designated as external interrupts to the two IP interrupt pins. They may be individually masked via software.
